Sacred Hearts supports local and UK charities and many good causes internationally. We contribute to charities, special appeals (e.g. natural disasters, wars/conflicts), local outreach programmes,  overseas missions and other worthy causes through second collections at Mass. We raise funds and build awareness for charities and non-profits through quiz nights, cakes sales and other events.

Charitable donations are considered throughout the year by the Parish Finance Committee, with charitable funds being raised through many of the activities done on behalf of the parish, including the Justice and Peace Group and proceeds from the yearly operations and activities of the bar and hall.

We are a giving parish, not only with funds but with our time, effort and prayers. This is no more apparent than during our summer fete,  which, through happy and willing volunteers, has provided significant donations to a number of charities including  the COBALT Foundation, Winston’s Wish, Open Door, Gloucestershire Air Ambulance, MacMillan Trust, Nazareth House, Sue Ryder among others. We would particularly like to thank local businesses and organisations who support the fete each year so generously for the betterment of those in need.
