We would like to thank Kevin Allen for the last 5 years as treasurer.  Thank you also to Tony Gates who has been on the Finance Committee since the beginning for all his help over the years.

Thank you to all the Finance Committee and welcome to new committee members:  Bernadette Knee, Mark Prance and Lorraine John.

Thanks must also go to all who have generously contributed to the on-going cost of Sacred Hearts during 2016 and special thanks for the responses for the Charitable appeal during the Year of Mercy.

Last July we appealed to parishioners for suggestions as to ways in which we could look to support potential good causes using some of the legacy funds we have been left and blessed with. We called this our ‘Charitable Support Programme’ for 2016.  We thank everyone for what amounted to over 20 suggestions and to date, we have allocated funds to Nazareth House for welcomed improvements in their pond area and recently we have agreed to contribute to the All Saints Academy Trip to Tanzania where 12 students will cement a global partnership between All Saints Academy and the Diocese of Western Tanzania with the students helping with work and the school in the village of Kasulu. You will also not have missed that we are making significant building improvements to the Presbytery this year! The Finance Committee continues to consider all ideas received, with further investment expected in church refurbishments and in supporting Youth Development, to name just two areas – we will keep you updated!’
