Parish Hall

 

Welcome to Sacred Hearts Parish Hall.  We are a non-profit making organization that exists to serve the church parish and the local community.  All the income we obtain through the hire of the hall goes towards the upkeep and maintenance of the premises.

DSC02310v2The Hall complex consists of a large main hall with a stage, a lounge/bar, a committee room, a kitchen with food preparation room,  a two-court squash facility with changing rooms and a free car park.  These facilities are unique to this locality, and the rates we charge for hire are extremely competitive within the town,

The Hall Committee consists of twelve members of the parish, including representatives from the Squash Club and Bar Committee.  The current Chairman is Julian Magee (right), and we elect a Treasurer and Booking Secretary to assist him in the running of the hall.  The bar and squash committees run in a similar way.  We are all volunteers, and other members take on roles such as Committee Secretary, Managing Editor and Website Director, as well as other one-off tasks that are needed.  Some of us are retired or semi-retired and some of us work full or part time.  We are very grateful to all those who give up their free time and offers their skills to maintain and develop the hall facilities.
