Description of role/activity
At the meeting we use our special prayer booklet and gather around a small table on which we have placed:-
  • A Cross to remind us that Jesus is our Redeemer.
  • A Candle to remind us that He is the Light of the World.
  • A Bible to remind us that He is the Living Word.
  • A small Basket at the foot of the cross ready to receive the names of our children written individually on small paper discs as a symbol of our placing them into Jesus’ care.
We follow our booklet of prayers but we also allow time for spontaneous prayer. The prayers in the booklet are informal and are just words that speak from a Mother’s heart to the Lord.
Support provided
  • The group meet in each other’s homes
  • The group is open to new members through word of mouth or invited and the meeting on the first Friday of the month is held in the Lampley room so that any interested person may come and get more information
  • As well as being a time of quiet, peace and prayer to place the cares and concerns of the children you love in the hands of Jesus it is also an opportunity to develop friendships, read scripture and explore what your faith means to you in a friendly, safe and relaxed environment.
Time required
  • The group meets each Friday morning at 10 am in term time for about 1½  hours
